About Kalie

I am a visual storyteller and words-crafter, marrying visual art and language to highlight the nuance and complexity of the human experience.

Some of my earliest memories are of listening to my bedroom door click shut before grabbing a journal, reading light, and pen from under my bed so I could write.

With a radically divided political landscape, the ever-looming shadow of a global climate crisis, and unceasing violence toward marginalized communities, I believe my truest purpose is to make content that is honest, informed, and collaborative.

Creative Values

  • I didn’t get my Bachelor’s in Biology by avoiding the messiness of research. Nor did I earn that degree without becoming skilled in objectivity. I’m dedicated to well-researched, informed content. Not to mention, all those lab reports prepared me well for tracking and graphing metrics and identifying trends.

  • I’m a firm believer that people should see themselves or, in the very least, be able to empathize with others, and want to engage with what I’m putting out there. I seek conversation, and never claim to have all the answers.

  • I’m not afraid to ask for help, or seek out experts who can give me the insights I alone can’t come to. I’m seasoned in PR and outreach for both social media and long form content, never missing an opportunity to interview and highlight new voices.
